The app world has plenty of options for women to track their periods, but none to help women cover their needs for hormonal contraceptives and tracking possible side effects. There are a wide variety of hormonal contraceptives available to women but without face-to-face medical advice, it is hard to determine which one women should choose based on their preferences and lifestyle.
SOLUTION
iOS and Android app prototype
An app designed to provide young women between the ages of 20-35 with the tools to find their ideal hormonal contraceptive according to their preferences and lifestyle. The app will also allow women to track the possible side effects of the drug and predict any potential effects of the contraceptive on their future wellbeing.
RESULT
A prototype ready for investment
The app prototype successfully demonstrates how women can find their ideal hormonal contraceptive method best suited to them. Users sign up, fill in an eligibility questioonaire and are provided with suggestions based on the data they provided. They are also able to track side effects of a medication and be alerted when a side effect requires medical attention.
