Pediatrics Board Review
A full redesign built to turn a trusted exam-prep resource into a site that actually converts
Strong content, low conversion
Pediatrics Board Review had built genuinely respected exam preparation content for pediatricians, but the existing site wasn't converting visitors into paying students at the rate the content deserved.
SOLUTION
A complete UI/UX redesign
We redesigned the site from the ground up, rebuilding the experience around how pediatricians actually decide to invest in exam prep, from first landing on the site through to purchase.
RESULT
Live, and converting better than before
The redesigned site launched and has increased conversions since going live.

The challenge
Pediatrics Board Review had already built a strong reputation, offering initial certification and MOCA-Peds recertification content, thousands of practice questions and strategy guides used by pediatricians preparing for board exams. The content itself wasn’t the problem. The existing website was underperforming, not converting visitors into paying students at anywhere near the rate the quality of the content should have supported.
What we designed
We redesigned the full UI and UX of the site, rethinking how a visitor moves from first landing on the page to actually enrolling in a course. That meant a cleaner path through the different offerings, initial certification, recertification, institutional access, clearer presentation of the practice questions and strategy content on offer, and an experience built to build trust with a genuinely skeptical, exam-anxious audience rather than just list features.
Results
The redesigned site launched and has increased conversions since going live. Pediatrics Board Review’s own materials cite a first-time ABP pass rate of 99% among students who use their course, a claim made by Pediatrics Board Review about their outcomes, not a figure produced by this project.
Frequently asked
What actually changes conversion rate on a site like this?
Mostly trust and clarity. Pediatricians preparing for a board exam are anxious and skeptical of anything that looks like a generic course-selling site. The redesign focused on making the path to the right course obvious and backing it with real proof, testimonials, clear pricing, strategy content, rather than just louder calls to action.
Why redesign the whole site instead of just the checkout or landing pages?
Because the drop-off wasn’t happening at one single point, it was happening throughout the journey. A redesign focused on just one page would have fixed a symptom without addressing why visitors weren’t building enough confidence earlier to get that far in the first place.
Does a redesign like this apply to other education or certification sites?
The core problem is common: strong content, weak conversion, usually because the site doesn’t build trust with a specific, skeptical audience early enough. The exact fix depends on who that audience is and what makes them hesitate, but the diagnosis process is the same.
